what are net carbs?
Net carbs are the impact carbs in a product. That means they are the carbs that will impact your blood glucose. Correctly selected fiber and sugar alcohols, also known as polyols, (like erythritol) have no impact on blood glucose, and so we can subtract them from the total carb count of a food to calculate the net carb count.
However, not all fiber and sugar alcohols are created equal and so, when you spot fiber like isomalto olligosacharides and sugar alcohols like maltitol, you should not subtract these from the total carb count as they do impact blood glucose.
Don’t worry, ingfit takes the stress out of your hands by ensuring that every product we stock contains only zero impact fiber and sugar alcohols, so you can subtract them from the total carb count with confidence…
In fact, let us do it for you!
