pre-soaked and activated
With all the buzz around about the anti-nutrients in nuts and seeds and the increasing awareness of the need to pre-soak them to deactivate these you may have been discouraged from eating too many.
But no need to worry! Foods Alive pre-soaks and dehydrates their flaxseeds before using them in their crackers to alleviate this concern and ensure that your seeds are not going to increase inflammation in your body. And, at the same time strengthening the bioavailability of the nutrients in the seeds and making them easier to chew and digest.
This delicate process preserves the vital living enzymes and essential nutrients, while at the same time, creating a crispy, crunchy, savory snack.
And, to take it a step further, the flax seeds in these crackers are still alive! Yes, they are! Just soak them in water, plant these bad boys in the dirt and flax plants will shoot up from the ground. Pretty nifty, aye?! These would be great for a child's science project!
So… take your health to the next level, give yourself a break and spoil yourself and your family with a snack that actually fights disease rather than feeding it.
what are net carbs?
Net carbs are the impact carbs in a product. That means they are the carbs that will impact your blood glucose. Correctly selected fiber and sugar alcohols, also known as polyols, (like erythritol) have no impact on blood glucose, and so we can subtract them from the total carb count of a food to calculate the net carb count.
However, not all fiber and sugar alcohols are created equal and so, when you spot fiber like isomalto olligosacharides and sugar alcohols like maltitol, you should not subtract these from the total carb count as they do impact blood glucose.
Don’t worry, ingfit takes the stress out of your hands by ensuring that every product we stock contains only zero impact fiber and sugar alcohols, so you can subtract them from the total carb count with confidence…
In fact, let us do it for you!
