Easy Keto Crustless Quiche with Meat

This traditional, hearty, savory keto spinach quiche with ground meat is ideal for a post-workout meal, brunch, or dinner. Our no-fuss version of this low-carb quiche is flavourful and filling without the fuss of a crust.

Ingredients

  • 250g lean ground turkey
  • 6 whole eggs
  • 60g heavy cream
  • 100g fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 100g cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters
  • 75g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • ½ tsp salt, divided into ¼ tsp + ¼ tsp
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C. Line the bottom of a 20 cm quiche pan* or pie dish with parchment paper, and grease the edges.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once heated, add the ground turkey along with the garlic powder, chili flakes, 1/4 tsp salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes, then add the sliced red onions, cook for an additional minute until fragrant, then add the spinach.
  4. Cook the spinach for a couple of minutes until it turns dark and has wilted. Transfer the mixture to the quiche pan or pie dish.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly, then place the cherry tomatoes on top. Sprinkle half the cheddar cheese on top.
  6. In a bowl or measuring jug, mix together the eggs, heavy cream, and ¼ tsp of salt.
  7. Pour the eggs over the turkey and spinach mixture, and top it with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until it is cooked all the way through and is no longer jiggly in the center.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then cut it into 8 slices.
  10. You can enjoy it hot or at room temperature.

*Notes:

If you are using a quiche pan with a removable bottom, then use a square sized parchment paper that is slightly larger than the bottom to partially cover the edges (like in the photo). This is to prevent the liquid from leaking through
