"According to Wikipedia, Beef Stroganoff, also known as Beef Stroganov, is a Russian dish that consists of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana (sour cream). Its popularity has spread throughout the world since its inception in mid-nineteenth-century Russia".

Our version of this recipe is quick and easy keto beef stroganoff that takes only 30 minutes to prepare.

This is a guaranteed new favourite when you want to impress the family! It's rich in flavour and has a luxuriously creamy sauce that you can enjoy over low carb noodles or cauliflower rice.

It's a perfect comfort food dish that I always look forward to sitting down to, with its robust flavours of beef and mustard combined with the delicate flavours of cream and herbs.

In fact, if you've been following a keto diet for a while, you probably already have all of the ingredients in your pantry!

You can now make the most extravagant yet cost-effective stroganoff ever.


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 225g sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 10g onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 100g white mushrooms sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 115ml beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon coconut aminos
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon smoke paprika
  • 60g heavy cream
  • 25g sour cream
  • 170g Miracle Noodle Fettuccine Style or any low carb pasta (follow the cooking instructions on the package)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish


  1. In a large deep pan or dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef strips in a single layer and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook until the meat is lightly browned and no longer red. Transfer the beef to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium then add the butter, followed by the onions, mushrooms, garlic and thyme. Cook, stirring frequently, until the onions and mushrooms are soft and lightly browned.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, coconut aminos, Dijon mustard and paprika, scraping up any browned bits on the bottom of the pan, then add the whipping cream and cook until slightly thickened.
  5. Take a few tablespoons of the sauce into the sour cream to temper it, then add it to the pan while constantly stirring.
  6. Return the beef to the pan and season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
  7. Add your favourite low carb pasta or noodles to the pan and cook until pasta is heated through.
  8. Transfer into two plates. Garnish with parsley and serve.
